The 10th issue of Gitanjali and Beyond will be a special issue on Rabindranath Tagore and Rural Reconstruction. This issue will publish an essay by Dikshit Sinha entitled “Nation State and Welfare: Tagore’s Conceptual Journey and Rural Reconstruction Work”.
This issue will also publish reviews of the following books:
1. A Poet’s Experiment in Rebuilding Samaj and Nation: Sriniketan’s Rural Reconstruction Work 1922 – 1960 by Dikshit Sinha. Reviewed by Neil Fraser.
2. Tagore’s University: A History of Visva Bharati 1921 – 1961 by Swati Ganguly. Reviewed by Professor Kumkum Bhattacharya.
3. A History of Sriniketan: Rabindranath Tagore’s Pioneering Work in Rural Reconstruction by Uma Dasgupta. Reviewed by Dr Jolly Das.
4. Santiniketan and Sriniketan: The Twin Dreams of Rabindranath Tagore by Ajit K. Neogy. Reviewed by Dr Parantap Chakraborty.
The 11th issue of Gitanjali and Beyond will be on Rabindranath Tagore and Science and this issue will be guest edited by Christine Höene and Dr Bodhisattva Chattopadhyay.
The 12th issue of Gitanjali and Beyond will be on Travel Writing and this issue will be guest edited by Professor Stefan L. Brandt and Dr Saptarshi Mallick.
